Former artist’s haven close to Berlin

Our house with its large garden right next to the lake, was built in the 1930’s. It retains almost all of its original features and through careful restoration with ecological materials, the whole atmosphere is one of warmth and brightness.

There are 8 rooms, 5 of which are bedrooms and the house can sleep up to 8 people comfortably. There is a kitchen with a large electric hob and cooker, a dishwasher and the usual electrical appliances. The lovely garden can be accessed directly from the garden room with its peaceful garden view. There is a bathroom with a bath and toilet, a separate guest toilet in the entry area and two living rooms. The former studio area has a piano.

We have fitted it out, in tune with the house itself, in a simple manner. It boasts a small library, a music system and many opportunities for leisure both within and without the house, including a table-tennis table, Boccia, a barbecue, a sandpit and so on. We also have bicycles which the visitors are welcome to use. The house doesn’t have a television.

The lake is a two-minute walk away, with two very nice bathing areas. The proximity to Berlin and the ease of access by train or by car, render the house not only interesting for visitors to Berlin.
